1poundground beef
1/2cupchopped onion
2clovesgarlicminced
38 ouncecans tomato sauce
1Tablespoonsugar
1/2teaspoongarlic powder
1/8teaspoonred pepper flakes
1teaspoonItalian seasoning
1/4teaspoonsalt
1/4teaspoonpepper
116 ouncebag wide egg noodles
1tablespoondried parsley
1cupcottage cheese
18 ouncepackage cream cheesesoftened
1/4cupsour cream
1/4cupshredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Cook the onion, minced garlic, and ground beef together until all the pink is gone and beef crumbles, drain off excess fat. Start boiling water for the noodles.
Add the tomato sauce, sugar, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Combine and simmer over low heat.
Cook the egg noodles per package directions.
Mix together the cooked noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream, softened cream cheese and dried parsley.
Spread half the noodle mixture into a greased 13x9 baking dish, layer with meat mixture. Repeat both layers and top with shredded Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes in a 350 F oven.

This casserole can be made ahead of time and either refrigerate or freeze for later.
